When available, the controlled certificate PDF can be downloaded after successful verification.

How QR certificate traceability works

Scan. Trace. Verify the Controlled Record.

1. Scan the QR code

Use a phone camera or QR scanner on the code supplied with an eligible product, batch, package or certificate.

2. Open the verification record

The QR link opens Kitabō’s public verification route with the certificate reference ready for lookup.

3. Confirm traceable details

Check the certificate number, current status and product identification returned by the controlled record.

4. Open the controlled PDF

Where an issued PDF is available, use the verification result to access the controlled certificate document.

ISO standards and QR verification

Digital Traceability Supports the Record — It Does Not Replace the Standard

Kitabō uses QR-linked verification to connect eligible glassware records with controlled digital documentation. For volumetric glassware, the applicable product and test framework can include ISO 1042 for one-mark volumetric flasks, ISO 4788 for graduated measuring cylinders, ISO 385 for burettes, ISO 648 for single-volume pipettes, ISO 835 for graduated pipettes and ISO 4787 for volumetric capacity testing and use, depending on the exact product and agreed specification.

ISO/IEC 17025 concerns laboratory competence rather than product identity. Kitabō does not claim to be an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. Independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories can provide accredited calibration or testing where specified, with their supporting accredited documentation kept distinct from Kitabō’s digital verification record.

QR verification FAQ

Common Certificate Traceability Questions

How do I scan a Kitabō QR code?

Open your phone camera or QR scanner, point it at the QR code and follow the Kitabō verification link. For eligible records, the certificate reference is carried into the verification route.

What can the QR code trace?

For eligible issued records, it can connect you to certificate status, product identification and controlled PDF availability. The exact record depends on the product, batch and document type.

Can I verify without the QR code?

Yes. Enter the complete certificate number in the form above and run the same controlled lookup.

Is QR verification an accreditation claim?

No. QR verification is a traceability mechanism. Any accredited calibration or testing claim must remain attributable to the independent accredited laboratory that performed that work.
