What it addresses
ISO 4788 addresses the dimensions, material, construction and metrological requirements of graduated measuring cylinders, including tall-form and squat-form designs for general laboratory use.
Note
The standard concerns defined cylinder types and their specified requirements. It does not mean that every cylinder shape, base material, graduation pattern or custom configuration automatically conforms, and it does not replace product-level capacity verification.
Wall-build customisation
Wall-build options may be reviewed where they remain compatible with required dimensions, graduations, capacity, base stability and intended use. Any custom construction offered with an ISO claim must still satisfy the relevant verified requirements.
